ITINERARIES BETWEEN ART AND NATURE

Creativity, contemporary art and beautiful landscapes in the woods of the Sella Valley
Arte Sella is the perfect day out for friends of GoOutside. To call it an international outdoor exhibition of contemporary art set up in 1986 in the fields and woods of the Sella Valley (Val di Sella, municipality of Borgo Valsugana, province of Trento) gives it its correct title but hardly touches the surface of what is a truly liberating, relaxing and enthralling experience.

An ongoing creative process, here all sculptures can be actually followed as they grow and evolve. The artists are called upon to express a respectful relationship with nature and treat it as a source of inspiration.

These three-dimensional works are created using stones, leaves, branches and tree trunks with man-made objects, materials and colours rarely used. All works are placed outdoors and are connected by a woodland path which meanders through these artworks which are left to decay – thus becoming again part of nature’s life cycle.
A truly wonderful day out and in any weather.

  • When: Arte Sella is open from June to September from 10 to 19; in the other months it closes at 6 pm, and at 5 pm in the winter.
    How much: € 8.00 per person, € 4.00 children 11-16 years.

We suggest you to stay at Camping Lago Arsiè, campsite on lake, ideal as starting point for itineraries between art and nature.
